In our ongoing quest to map the world, we are now currently offering expanded data coverage for both China and Japan. These new data sets allow your organization to expand its reach into the Asian market by providing rich, street level information in native Mandarin and Kanji characters.

Expanded Asian Data Sets Include:

• Chinese Data Layer:
  -Zoom levels 5 through 12.
  -Street maps for 8 cities, English and Mandarin map labels with 2,000 Points of Interest (English) across 5 categories.
  -City maps for the following: Bejing, Tianjin, Suzhou, Shanghai, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Chengdua.
• Japan Data Layer:
  -Zoom levels 5 through 12.
  -Street maps for 3 cities, English and Kanji map labels with 58,000 Points of Interest (English) across 36 categories.
  -City maps for the following: Kyoto, Osaka, Tokyo.

How To Get It:

The Expanded Asian Data Sets are available as part of the MapQuest Platform Enterprise API.
(1.) New and existing customers will need to sign-up for a Developer License which gives you access to the complete MapQuest Platform libraries and sample code for developing and prototyping your mapping solution.
(2.) Call your MapQuest sales representative and ask for access to the Expanded Asian Data Set package.
