Geographical boundaries for areas available from the Geocoding API???

Hi,

When searching for certain cities or geographical areas with Google's online map service, the result is sometimes plotted as a polygon overlay on the map.

While offering this functionality in their online map service, Google does not offer the same functionality to the users of their APIs. It's currently not possible to implement this functionality using Google APIs, since the boundaries of an area (e.g. "Kungsholmen, Stockholm") is not exposed. The only data that is exposed is a LatLng that points to the center of the polygon/area.

Question: Does MapQuest offer this funcitonality through it's Geocoding API Web Service?

Can I look up a geographical area such as "Kungsholmen, Stockholm" and retrieve all the necessary data to plot it as a polygon on a map?

Best regards,

There are no boundaries
There are no boundaries available through the geocode API. There are zip and state boundaries available in the search/v2 hosted data sets.
